A Word to Students
This document contains the Spring 1999 agreements on courses
available for transfer credit among Delaware State University, Delaware Technical &
Community College, and the University of Delaware.
. Students who wish to transfer course credits should consult this document and the college/department advisor appropriate to their choice of major.
This edition of the Matrix lists only courses that are currently offered at the three institutions. Students wishing to transfer credit for courses
taken prior to Spring 1999 should consult an admissions advisor at the institution that
he or she wishes to enter.Admissions and advisement offices should have all previous editions of the Matrix available for reference.
Special Instruction for Transfer of Credit between Delaware Technical & Community College and the University of Delaware:
In the fall of 1993, Delaware Technical & Community College began to use a semester, rather than quarter, system. This edition of the Matrix shows the credits earned at Delaware Tech under the new semester hour system. Previous editions of the Matrix mu
st be consulted for courses taken at Delaware Tech prior to fall, 1993. Generally, when transferring from a quarter-hour system to a semester-hour system school, credits are assigned on a three-to-two basis; i.e., three quarter hours at Delaware Tech pri
or to fall, 1993 will be accepted as two semester hours of credit. Questions concerning exact degree requirements will be addressed when the enrollee meets with the college/department advisor.
